Frequency response function statistics of diffuse systems

چکیده

Vibro-acoustic analysis at high frequencies is challenging due to a large sensitivity spatial variations and short acoustical wavelengths, rendering deterministic methods expensive. At these frequencies, the wave field usually assumed diffuse. A realization of diffuse can be obtained considering that mode shapes system are Gaussian random fields, its squared eigenfrequency spacings distribution conforms orthogonal ensemble (GOE) eigenvalue distribution. These properties were for example used extend statistical energy (SEA) towards energetic variance prediction. However, such as SEA lack propagation phase information, which means that, e.g., time-domain reconstruction not possible. In this contribution, instead total energies, expressions average cross-frequency covariance frequency response functions presented. from generalized definition field, treating eigenfrequencies subsystem collection points randomly located on axis, making amenable point process theory. numerically validated by comparison with computationally costly detailed models where scatterers modeled explicitly.

Output Frequency Response Function based Analysis for Nonlinear Volterra Systems

Analysis of nonlinear systems has been studied extensively. Based on some recently developed results, a new systematic approach to the analysis of nonlinear Volterra systems in the frequency domain is proposed in this paper, which provides a novel insight into the frequency domain analysis and design of nonlinear systems subject to a general input instead of only specific harmonic inputs using ...

Vibration Control Design for Nonlinear Systems using Frequency Response Function

A nonlinear frequency response based adaptive vibration controller is proposed for a class of nonlinear mechanical systems. In order to obtain the nonlinear Frequency Response Function (FRF), the convergence properties of the system are studied by using the convergence (contraction) theory. If the system under consideration is: 1) convergent, it directly enables to derive a nonlinear FRF for a ...

Structural Damage Identification of Plate Structures based on Frequency Response Function and Natural Frequencies

In this paper, a structural damage identification method (SDIM) is developed for plate-like structures. This method is derived using dynamic equation of undamaged/damaged plate, in which local change in flexural rigidity is characterized utilizing a damage distribution function. The SDIM requires to modal data in the intact state and frequency response of damage state where most of vibration ba...

Wigner function statistics in classically chaotic systems

We have studied statistical properties of the values of the Wigner function W (x) of 1D quantum maps on compact 2D phase space of finite area V . For this purpose we have defined a Wigner function probability distribution P (w) = (1/V ) ∫ δ(w − W (x))dx, which has, by definition, fixed first and second moment. In particular, we concentrate on relaxation of time evolving quantum state in terms o...
